Non League Sydenhams Wessex Premier League starts on Tuesday August 1st 2017 due to extra preliminary round FA Cup starting on Saturday August 5th, with an odd game on Friday 4th.
Blackfield & Langley continue a perfect start to the season with now 9 wins out of 9 league games played so far, against a Horndean side so far un beaten this season in the league.
This was a game of 2 halves, with Bashley having no strikers playing, went 1-0 up in the first half with a fantastic near 18 yard shot by 18 year old No 9 Harry McGrath . Blackfield had a poor first half, with hardly any chances. In the second half, as I could understand, I think the equaliser was a Bashley own goal. Bashley kept trying still to get a win, but could not hold out for Blackfield's winning goal in virtually the same part of the pitch bas Bashley going ahead, with a fantastic shot by No 15 Jordan Ngalo. Bashley did not deserve to loose this game, and showed some real promising play. The performance by Bashley on the night did not show they had only 2 points so far. One would thought they should be a lot higher up the league. Full credit to Blackfield for winning all this season's league games and being, top of the league this weekend.
Blackfield & Langley 10-0 Petersfield Town
Blackfield opened the scoring on just 5 minutes with a Liam Robinson from just 8 yards out, a simple touch past the Petersfield keeper Jarid Hixon
On 10 minutes, Blackfield went 2-0 from a shot 12 yards out and on the edge of the 18 yard box. Goalscorer was Michael Turvey.
Blackfield went 3-0 ahead unjust 17 minutes with Jamie White scoring from just 6 yards out.
Blackfield made it 4-0 on just 20 minutes with a second goal by Michael Turvey
On 23 minutes Blackfield’s Liam Robinson put the ball from the left side of the pitch close th their left post, only for Petersfield’s captain Chris Harvey to knock the ball just inside the left post. Blackfield were unlucky to extend their first half lead, with Lewis Tallack having the ball come off the crossbar. The half time score was 5-0 to Blackfield. The fans were asking for double figures as a final result.
In the second half, it was not long for Blackfield to make it 6-0, on 49 minutes from the goal opener Liam Robinson, and he made it 7-0 on 65 minutes, and his hat-trick with a shot from 16 yards out.
Blackfield’s 8th came on 85 minutes from a close range shot from sub, James Guthrie, and on 89 minutes, Jamie White scored his second from just 7 yards out.
The poor Petersfield keeper Jarid Hixon let number 10 in on 90 minutes, by a simple goal from James Guthrie, as he passes a sat down Petersfield keeper 15 yards out, to score in the end a simple open goal. The Petersfield keeper has sadly had 17 goals pass him in 2 games, in 5 days.
The Blackfield keeper hardly had to make a save, may be just one or 2, Petersfield Town showed but no real threat to scoring a goal.
