Haymaking South Sway near New Forest July 2013

With the very warm weather in July 2013 farmers are able to cut and dry grass for Hay in 24 to 48 hours.     This would normally be wrapped in plastic to make "Haylage".     Hay grass can normally take 3 to 4 days to dry.     This year is totally different to last year, 2012 with farmers struggling to get the harvest in.
