A true sad day in Bristol.   A great game to watch was marred by an after the final whistle pitch invasion.     18  people were arrested during and shortly after the invasion.     8 police horses were used, along with police in rioit gear to prevent trouble between rival fans.    3 police officers were injured during the troubles    

City went in the lead, and Rovers pulled one back .    City made it 2-1 and just held on to the final whistle, to go in to the second round of the Southers Section of the cup.

The first game of the 2013 to 2014 Sky Bet Football league Division 1 season for Coventry City to play at their new home ground at the Sixfields Stadium Northampton.    After Coventry went 3-0 ahead in the first half, Bristol City pulled back to get the scores to 3-3.     Coventry went to 4-3 then Bristol City pulled one back.     Coventry scored late in the game to clinch the win at 5-4.    6 goals were scored in the second half.     Hopefully Coventry will be able to attract more fans down from Coventry to Northampton, for enteraining football.
